In the United States, there are more than 29,000 miles of waterways; including rivers, lakes and others. Being one of the oldest forms of transportation; dating back to the 1600s.
A great advantage with ferry services is that not only it carries passengers, but their vehicles as well; this a unique form of transportation.
In most parts of the world, ferries are one of the safest forms of transportation.
Another advantage is the environment. Ferries cut down the fumes that are normally emitted by other vehicles. It also helps alleviate traffic.
Our Experience with Ferry Service
At Redmon, we have experience working with ferries by providing our digital signage service in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Redmon deployed our Transit Display software to over 20 outdoor-rated LCD displays for the NYC Ferry. In addition, We designed a custom interface that incorporates bus arrivals, alerts. In addition, real-time departure information.
For Puerto Rico Ferry, Redmon provided Transit Display software a at all ferry ports. This software provides real-time departure and arrival, system status, and video advertising. Also, it provides the amount of available seating on each trip.
